Tikal Sapodilla Tree
Growing big and strong, the Tikal Sapodilla is great tree to have. Whether that be to want it for shade, adding a more tropical look to the garden or for the fruit, Tikal has it all. Once being the main commercial variety out there in Florida but not as popular anymore due to newer varieties it is still a classic. Producing well and taking on the California climate very well it is a tree we definitely recommend.
Tikal Sapodilla can get to be around 11 ounces. The skin is thin and light brown and the taste is very sweet and not as astringent. With 5-6 black seeds and a delightful aroma Tikal has been a fruit you can't say no to. The pulp is smooth and juicy. A true Mexican delicacy.
