Mexicola Avocado Tree
The Mexicola Avocado Tree is a high yield variety with vigorous growth. With amazing cold hardiness it is a high demand variety as it is easier to grow. The tree is not only sought for its fruit but for its leaves as well. The leaves have a beautiful licorice/anise smell when grinded and are used in cooking to give meals an extra umph to the flavor!
The Fruit has deep purple-black skin when ripe. Unlike the Hass the fruits turn black on the tree! The skin is thin and most of the time the fruit is eaten with the skin. The skin is very smooth and shiny making it look different from other avocados. Due to its high oil content it has a very rich and nutty which many find amazing. Mexicola is of excellent eating quality and is definitely a unique one.
