The Ice Cream Bean tree is a tree from the deep tropics. With not many people knowing about it. It is truly a shame that people haven't heard about this amazing tree. Growing up to be around 25 feet when mature and giving generous yields of fruit it is an amazing tree to grow in your backyard. Growing very vigorously and robust it can resist harsh weather and conditions. Great choice for a shade tree or to add for a hint of tropical in your garden as it has dark green, flat spear like leaves that stand out.
Ice Cream Beans are the cotton candy of nature! The fruits are long thin pods and inside those pods is white cotton candy wrapped around black seeds. What you eat is the white fluff and it tastes like vanilla with sugar, a little like vanilla ice cream. A very different and unique experience that everyone who has tasted it can agree with.
